SUMMARY:  Emergency crews swarmed the streets near Times Square this morning after a man detonated a homemade pipe bomb in the New York subway, creating a panic during rush hour.  The suspected attacker, identified as 27-year-old Akayed Ullah, was taken to the hospital with minor burns.  Officials believe he was inspired by the Islamic State group.  William Brangham reports.
