Police arrested a New Jersey school bus driver for DUI after students called their parents on cell phones to report that she was allegedly swerving and falling asleep behind the wheel, the Westhampton Couriter-Post reports.
Carole Crockett, 46, faces 25 counts of DUI with a minor, driving under the influence on school property, disorderly conduct, and well as 25 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, the newspaper reports.
After parents called Westhampton Middle School, officials there called police who searched the area and arrested Crockett at Holly Hills school Monday afternoon.
The newspaper reports that Crockett allegedly registered a blood alcohol level of .25% after submitting to a breath test.
The Highway Safety Research & Communications organization says that all 50 states and the District of Columbia define it as a crime to drive with a blood alcohol level at or above .08%.
