SUMMARY: Every summer, the federal research vessel Tiglax travels along the chain of Alaska's Aleutian Islands, ferrying scientists to remote locations to study wildlife. The Aleutian archipelago is 1600 miles in length and constitutes an ecosystem of stunning diversity.
