IMHO: We need the Affordable Care Act. It is a start but does need to be tweaked to work better.
Again I say it is a moral and ethical obligation of government to see that every citizen can ACTUALLY GET good health care regardless of cost.
The Republican's plan puts a cost ceiling on YOUR health. We Republicans will pay only so much to see you can stay healthy and if you cannot afford more, too bad.
ALSO: The first paragraph of The Constitution of the United States:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Citizens getting health care IS promoting the general welfare.
