SUMMARY: The southeastern U.S. shoreline is watching Hurricane Dorian drive north, not far offshore. The storm’s winds have dropped to 105 miles per hour, still plenty powerful but much less severe than those that blasted the northern Bahamas earlier this week. John Yang reports and joins Judy Woodruff from Nassau with an update on a disaster whose scope of destruction is still coming into focus.
SUMMARY:The enormous Cyclone Fani, equivalent in power to a Category 5 hurricane, slammed into northeastern India Friday, whipping the region with torrential rain and sustained winds over 120 miles per hour before moving toward neighboring Bangladesh. The storm forced more than a million people to evacuate, brought transportation to a standstill and disrupted Indian election events. Judy Woodruff reports.

I am Retired U.S. Navy (22yrs) and a Vietnam Veteran. After my Navy retirement I was in the computer related industry, now retired. In 2000 I was a registered Republican and voted for George W. Bush. Six months of having Bush in the Whitehouse forced me to re-evaluate my political stance.
